We will use this page to highlight what is going on in Birmingham's visual arts scene. It will be a resource for artists but also a means by which TPWM can profile a place, offering links to activity in a regional, national and international context where possible.

The Library of Birmingham: Professional Development for Photographers
The Library of Birmingham Photography Department offers Professional Development opportunities to new and emerging photographers as a part of its programme of exhibitions and projects.
Reference Works, Birmingham’s largest photography commission, has seen lead artists Brian Griffin, Michael Collins, Andrew Lacon and Stuart Whipps mentor artists as they develop new work.
Photo Clinic, The Darkroom, Balsall Heath
Darkroom Birmingham offers analogue black and white photographic facilities and training for individual and community use.

Hall Green Arts Forum
Hall Green Arts Forum promotes all arts in Hall Green Constituency including Moseley, Kings Heath, Sparkbook and Hall Green. They run surgeries in a range of community and arts venues to support anyone delivering arts. They can support and promote existing projects, practitioners and organisations to develop partnerships, find funding, marketing, promotion and delivery of arts activities.

Ladywood Arts Forum
Collective of artists, schools, community groups and arts organisations committed to the development of creative opportunities covering the areas of Soho, Nechells, Ladywood and Aston.
Northfield Arts Forum
Northfield Arts Forum is a group of artists, arts organisations and venues from across the four wards of the District: Weoley Castle, Kings Norton, Northfield and Longbridge. They wish to develop, promote and support the arts across the district and then on a city wide scale, enable everyone access to the arts – to learn and create as well as to spectate and support artists and arts organisations by providing: A platform to showcase their work; an advice network; opportunities to work collaboratively; chances to apply for funding in a cogent way.

The Perry Barr Arts Forum aims to forge better communication between arts and cultural organisations and the voluntary and community sector, increase opportunities for local participation and raise the profile of local arts activities within the constituency
Selly Oak Arts Forum
Selly Oak Constituency Arts Forum is network of artists, arts organisations and community organisations who share a common interest in developing arts activities in their local area (Selly Oak, Cotteridge, Heighters Heath, Stirchley, Brandwood, Allens Croft, Billesley, Warstock, Bournville). The forum acts as a contact point for artists/organisations working in the constituency, and provides opportunities for artists/organisations to meet, share experiences and knowledge, and form partnerships.
Made in Sutton
Made in Sutton is a forum set up to promote and support arts based organisations across Sutton Coldfield. The forum aims to unite local arts organisations through the sharing of best practice and seeks to encourage greater participation.
Arts in the Yard - Yardley Arts Forum
Arts In The Yard, is the local arts forum representing the constituency of Yardley, which includes, Acocks Green, Sheldon, Stechford & Yardley North and South Yardley.
